Furthermore, the government of Kenya is unable to provide the necessary resources to support these communities. Due to the lifestyle, the people have been subjected to over the years, a majority of the population do not have the opportunity to obtain a proper education, especially females. In addition, women are seen as a commodity in which they can be exchanged for valuable resources such as cattle through marriage. The mission of our group is to empower women to attain the highest possible standards of living through engaging in income-generating activities This includes beadworks, multipurpose soap-making, dressmaking and tailoring. We also want to inform the community about the conservation of wildlife.
